That's the idea behind Between the Pages & Places, the Travel Book Club.
We're bringing together two wonderful passions: reading and travel.
Each month, we'll explore a book that takes us somewhere, whether it's a bustling European capital, a quiet village in the countryside, an unfamiliar culture, or a destination we've been dreaming about for years.
Along the way, we'll discover fascinating places, exchange perspectives, share travel memories and pictures, and enjoy conversations with fellow readers.
No passport required. Just curiosity and a love of a good story.

It's simple, relaxed, and designed to fit into your life. Whether you read a book a week or a book every few months, there's a place for you here.
A New Book, A New Destination
Every month, we announce a new book inspired by a destination, culture, or travel experience.
Our selections may include contemporary fiction, historical novels, memoirs, travel writing, or stories that transport us to someplace extraordinary.
Some books will introduce you to a destination you've never considered. Others might bring back memories of somewhere you've already been.
Get Your Copy and Start Reading
Purchase the book, borrow it from your local library, download it to your e-reader, or listen to the audiobook.
However you enjoy books is perfectly fine with us.
Read at your own pace, wherever you happen to be.
Join Our Weekly Facebook Conversations
Throughout the reading period, we'll share posts in our Facebook group about the book, its setting, characters, and themes.
We'll also explore the destination itself: its culture, history, food, traditions, hidden gems, and travel possibilities.
Share your thoughts, respond to questions, tell us about your own travels, or simply follow the conversation.
You can participate as much or as little as you like.
Join Our Monthly Facebook Live Book Club
Once a month, we'll come together for a live book discussion in our Facebook group.
We'll discuss what we loved, what surprised us, which characters stayed with us, and whether the story inspired us to see a destination differently.
Bring your thoughts, your questions, a favorite beverage, and perhaps a few travel dreams.

I've always believed that the best part of travel isn't simply seeing somewhere new. It's discovering something about the world, about other people, and sometimes about ourselves.
Books can do exactly the same thing.
A wonderful story can introduce us to a culture we know nothing about, take us somewhere we've never been, or make us look at a familiar place differently.
And sometimes, it makes us want to pack a suitcase.
I created Between the Pages & Places to bring together people who share that sense of curiosity.
You don't have to be a world traveler. You don't need to have visited the places we're reading about. You certainly don't need to be a literary expert.
You just need to enjoy a good story and a good conversation.

Is the Travel Book Club free?
Yes! Membership in our Facebook community and participation in the Travel Book Club are completely free. You'll simply need to obtain your own copy of each featured book.
Do I have to read every book?
Absolutely not. Join us whenever a selection interests you. There are no attendance requirements and no pressure to keep up.
Do I need to be an experienced traveler?
Not at all. Some of our members may be seasoned travelers, while others are exploring the world primarily through books. Everyone is welcome.
What kinds of books will you choose?
We'll feature fiction, historical novels, memoirs, travel writing, and other books with a meaningful connection to a place, culture, or journey.
Where do the discussions take place?
